Don't tell me everything will be alright.

I learned my lesson this previous time,
Fell victim to a sadistic plot.

Envy and greed,
Jealousy and spite.
Left me cold and empty,
Forever fighting for light.

Endless nights
Spent spiraling downward…
My skin bears the words of the story.

Now I'm bitter, angry;
Look what I've become.
